Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal wins the World Superseries Premier Badminton tournament ‘YONEX Denmark Open, 2012 defeating Juliane Schenk of Germany on today by 21-17 21-8 in 35 minutes. This is her second Super Series Premier title.  Saina wins the prize money $30,000 for becoming the winner.

If it is said that an Indian sportsperson has made a Contract with a company of Rs.40 core for three years, the listener will assume that obviously he is an Indian Cricketer. But this time this assumption is wrong. It’s Saina Nehwal, the badminton queen of India. The bronze winner of London Olympic, 2012 has signed a three-year, Rs 40 crore, contract with the sports management firm Rhiti Sports. It is good to see that a non-cricketer in India is getting such assignment.

"I'm happy and looking forward to start a working relationship with Rhiti. With Rhiti's background and credibility, they know how to balance things and that is a big plus point," Saina was quoted as saying by the Indian Express.

It can now be easily said that Saina Nehwas is the richest woman sportsperson in India.

Sindhu, the teenage shuttler girl from Hyderabad defeated Olympic champion Li Xuerui in the quarterfinals of a tournament at Changzhou in China.
