Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal wins
the World Superseries Premier Badminton tournament ‘YONEX Denmark Open, 2012
defeating Juliane Schenk of Germany on today by 21-17 21-8 in 35 minutes. This
is her second Super Series Premier title.
Saina wins the prize money $30,000 for becoming the winner.
On the way of becoming champion she has defeated South Korea's Bae Yeon Ju(Round 2), Minatsu Mitani of Japan a (pre-quarterfinal), Tine Baun (Quarterfinal) and world number one Yihan Wang of China (Semifinal). Denmark Open is the first tournament Saina Newhal has played since winning the Bronze Medal in London Olympic on 5th August 2012.

In the whole tournament Saina’s performance has been superb.
In the final also Saina was extremely dominating. Schenk had no answer of
Saina’s trademark crosscourt smashes. After becoming champion Saina has said,
"I thank Denmark and the Indian fans here for supporting me. I never
expected to win this tournament,"
"There were a lot of things which I did after Olympics
which made me fresh but every tournament is tough. My right knee was not really
in perfect shape but I thank god for giving me the energy to win the
title,"
